Odomint is a UK car app for iPhone, made by Hussan Afzal, an independent developer who lives in England. It records your drives and works out the mileage claim, reminds you before your MOT and road tax run out, keeps the family in the loop, and checks a used car before you buy it.
Who makes Odomint
Odomint is designed and built by Hussan Afzal, who lives in England and trades as Odomint as a sole trader. It is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under number ZC242191. It is an independent app: not part of a car company, an insurer or a government body.
What it does
- Records drives on its own and works out the HMRC mileage claim, at 55p a mile for the first 10,000 business miles and 25p after, or at your own rate.
- Reads your MOT and road tax dates from the DVLA and DVSA and reminds you weeks before they run out.
- Shows every MOT result and advisory since 2005.
- Runs the Odomint Check on a used car: outstanding finance, write-offs, stolen markers and salvage, from Experian.
- Lets a family share cars, their dates and safe arrivals home through Circles.
Where the data comes from
Vehicle, MOT and tax details come from the DVLA and DVSA. The Odomint Check comes from Experian. Fuel prices come from the UK government’s fuel price scheme. Odomint is not affiliated with the DVLA, DVSA or HMRC.
How it is paid for
Odomint is free to download and free for one car. Premium is £9.99 a month or £59.99 a year, and an Odomint Check is £9.99. There is no advertising, nothing is sold to anyone, and your drives stay on your phone. Read the privacy policy.
